Our Big Day (AM)

It's Our Big Day!
0130 – Comb hair session is one of the Chinese wedding rituals where the mother will comb the bride's hair as a blessing and to mark that she’s a grown-up. The attire is a new pair of shoe and pyjamas. That’s one weird looking combination.
That whole session is almost like what we usually see in Hong Kong drama but with little humor. Mum comb my hair without reading those auspicious phrases and we have to re-do it over again (first time ma). I had applied lots of hair conditioner to ensure that the comb doesn’t get stuck halfway. =D
Not really sure why I am supposed to swallow the glutinous rice ball without chewing it. I did chew a bit though otherwise I would most likely be choked.
0400 -  There wasn’t a lot of sleep involved. The moment I closed my eyes, my alarm clock started to make noise and its time to wake up, shower and prepare for make-up.
0430 – I cant believe that I woke up this early just to be pretty. The sky was still pitch dark and everyone was still snoring away from last night gathering. I had engaged Stacey as my actual day make-up artist. She's as punctual as usual. Love her natural and simple make-up and most importantly the gorgeous work on my hair. And yes, the whole make up really took that long and I wonder how I did survive that.

I decided to buy my Traditional Chinese Wedding Gown 'Kua' cos renting is more expensive. My 'Kua' cost roughly about RM370 while renting one cost about RM500. The worst part about renting is that the choice is limited. You may also risk of paying penalty if there's any damage to the embroidery at the end of the day. Not to mention the time needed to seek for one that you like and also the trouble to collect and return it later. Of course, the minus point of buying online is that the size may not be fitting.  Mine was slighly bigger cost I lost weight during the last few days (invisible stress)
I still think that my 'Kua' look super awesome with all the details and its sharp red and gold colour. I am going to keep that for my daughter. LOL

I bought this shoe like at the super last minute. It is very challenging to look for a red shoe with kitten heels. Felt super lucky that i bump into one that is within reasonable budget. Bought it within a minute when i saw it!

0700 - JiMuis arrived at my house to prepare for the games

Beloved cuzies are here early in the morning too. They said I am the most relax Bride they ever met. I was actually paying my credit card and car loan via online banking when they came in for photo sesion.
Seriously, there is really nothing left for me to do other than to wait for my Groom to pick me up.

My tears dropped when I thank both my parents for taking care of me all these years. Its more like the tears of joy and feeling really thankful to be part of this warm and loving family. LOL. Of course I am still part of it no matter what happened.
Wedding AM (2)

Eehhh....Dunno what is the reason behind to cover my head with a red cloth. I look weird in it. LOL. Right after this, what i need to do is to enjoy the live show from my Ipad.
Let the Game begin!

That's a warm up game

Kent look like he's enjoying the dance though. ^_^!!

Wedding AM (7)

Finally the Groom may pick up the bride after passing through all the obstacles. I was laughing at Kent's lips cos he was forced to put on lipstick to kiss on the 'Promise List'. Is that that consider a legal contract?

A big hug and thank you to all my JiMuis who were there for me the whole time. Our day would be incomplete without any of them!

Manicure Day!

2 Days before the actual day
I had a set of 3D manicure for the first time in my life! Well, this is the day when every details counts.
The Nail Shop is located at Taipan USJ. It’s a cozy place and most likely the only one that let u enjoy a massage while having your nails done. Sound elegant isn’t? It took more than 3 hours to complete the master piece. I am super glad that it turned out to be even better than what expected. Every petals and every Swarovski is being fixed with care.

Oh, by the way, those nails are real people! I kept it like for months for my big day. Wonder if I can ever keep that long ever again.

The price for 3D manicure ranges from RM200-300 including gel manicure and all those stones and removal of the gel manicure.

What I personally concerned most is the skills of the manicurist. My first experience of manicure was unforgettable. All the manicurists are foreigners (as expected). Not only that my thumb was cut while she’s removing those dead skins, she even applied nail polish remover on it! What a hell-walk-through experience. The next thing I know is that I had a swollen thumb for 3 days! From that day onwards, I reminded myself that no one should touch my fingers unless they are well trained.
I am very happy with the services at The Nail Shop. The owner Denise & Katherine are very friendly. All her manicurists (despite foreigners) are very friendly and skillful. You can totally feel a positive aura circulating in that shop!
