Teluk Intan Famous Chee Cheong Fun

Well, the only thing that I remembered during my first visit to Teluk Intan is the steaming hot silky smooth Chee Cheong Fun (Rice Noodle)! I personally do not think that this 'thing' looks tasty but this is SERIOUSLY good stuff!

It doesn't look appealing to me at all, but... once you tried it, you just can't stop! I am not too sure what's the secret ingredients but unlike the normal CCH, this is wrapped with dried shrimp and turnip. I don't really fancy shrimp but this is just good. No stinky shrimp smells, just appetizing aroma from the CCH and pickles (green chilli). Imagine my that I have to swallow my saliva the instant I got intoxicated with the smell.

 Turnip

A modern way to traditional Chinese delicacies.

I bought 20 packets (After Kent's dad suggestion). This is no joke, in fact, Bro-Mum got so in love with CCH. =) Its good to eat either warm o cold. While I prefer it hot I found it a little bit sticky. The CCH can be kept overnight and you'll find it much silkier than fresh.

I grown up eating CCH but not any typical CCH. How CCH adapt to local appetite :-

Ipoh Version
Sweet Red Sauce with Mushroom Sauce

KL Version
Served with curry and some other processed food (Eg: Fishball, beancurd)

Penang Version (Northern Malaysia)
Served with Ultimate Prawn Sauce!

JohorVersion (Southern Malaysia)
Never tried this before =_=!

Local Hong Kong Version
Wrapped with shrimps and served with soy sauce!

Arsenal Vs Malaysia 2012

On the 24th July 2012, I watched the first football match in my life!

Well, if it wasn’t because of Kent, I wouldn’t be here at Stadium Bukit Jalil, together with other Arsenal fans, screaming and enjoying the whole match. Kent is a diehard fans of Arsenal and I can tell that from the look on his face when we visited Arsenal Stadium last year. I almost could see him smiling every second.

Well, back to the Football match Malaysia Vs Arsenal. You bet it that I got nothing to talk about football but I love to share some photos and hopefully ‘they’ talk enough.

23th July 2012 :

Tonight is the Training Session of Arsenal Team and there’s really no reason for Arsenal fans not to be there . Kent is already super excited on that night.

The Goal Keeper

Basically, everyone (almost) came with Arsenal jersey that night. Well, at least I am wearing Arsenal T-shirt.

24th July 2012 :

On the actual day. The place is super energetic. People screaming for no apparent reason..hahaha...And they were passing a giant 'Arsenal jersy' around the stadium. Cool..!

When the goal keepers stepped into the stadium Everyone almost gone crazy.

Its a miracle that we actually met a Secondary schoolmate there.

That's one cute little Mineral Water

Something that really amaze me during the game was when all Arsenal fans started to support Harimau Malaya (Malaysia Football Team). I mean, Arsenal fans are suppose to support their favourite team. But at that moment, when all Malaysian are cheering for Malaysia team, I had this very special feeling, the felling of belonging to Malaysia. The feeling that tells me this is how it feels like when everyone is united. When there's no 'You' nor 'Me' but only 'We'. I got to say this I LOVE MALAYSIA!

 The Score? Arsenal Won

Nasi Lemak Panas @ Taipan USJ

I’d been hanging around Subang Jaya for over 20 years and not until recently that I found out this place for some really awesome Nasi Lemak Panas! In fact, Mum brought me to this place.

I bet that I not the only locals that do not know about this place. Trust me, food hunters from other places are always more alert than most local does.

This place simply called Warisan Sambal Opah and is located at Taipan USJ. It may looks like just any ordinary mamak/malay restaurant but their Nasi Lemak is just simply fantastic.

Coconut milk steamy hot rice wrap in banana leaf, top with lots of ‘Super Spicy Sambal’, half full boiled egg and ‘ikan bilis’. Sounds just like some typical nasi lemak but what really differentiates them from the others is the size of it. With rice of merely 3 spoons full, it’s just the perfect size for supper (Guilty). Well, since the business hour start in the evening, there’s really no other guilt-free way to enjoy this awesome food. Imagine a normal girl like me (slightly beyond normal) could easily wallop 2 packets? Kent would probably be taking in 4 if I wasn’t there.

A must try!
