Hipopo Baby Spa & Wellness at Empire Gallery

Whenever I told someone that I am bringing Baby S to spa, they will be like "wow....baby nowadays is so hang fuuk"

I bet Baby S would not remember any of these moments when he grows up. As far as I am concern, I am happy to bring him there so that mummy get to see him enjoy playing water.

The truth. I hope after the so call spa/swimming session, he'll be tired enough to sleep through the night!

If that really happen, I will bring him to spa every single week! WTF

Prior Booking is necessary especially on weekend. Purposely booked late evening so that Baby S can sleep after the session....LOL.....evil mummy!

It is important to ensure Baby is healthy. Ahem...common sense la...I bet you wouldn't go for spa or swimming if you are sick right?

Make sure Baby had enough sleep and milk at least 30 minutes before the session. Half an hour of swimming session is gonna be real tiring for them.

Babies of 6 months and below will get to use individual tub

Babies of 6 months and above will share the bigger tub (maximum 2 babies per session)

It is very nice to know that warm filtered water is used. No fuss about chlorine or other chemical in the water. By the way, I bath Baby S with tap water (with chlorine also la). I guess the main different here is that I am paying for it, so definitely I would demand for chlorine-free water. LOL

The great thing of using the single tub is that the water will be changed after every single use. Bravo! They will fill the tub there and there when you reach. This is a good protocol since younger babies are more fragile and their antibody is weaker.

The bigger pool, being bigger is definitely more fun to me. The water is change everyday. So if you want both, fresh water & bigger pool, you got to be the first user of the day! LOL!! Fresh water ma!

Me being Kiasi, prefer Baby S to use individual tub of course. Is good too especially when this is his first spa session. Looks like he's not really swimming cos his feet are touching the bottom of the tub. =___=!

Some warm up exercise before 'swimming'

Hipopo Baby Spa (5)

No need to worry of baby pee-pee or poo-poo in the tub because disposable swimming diaper is included in the package. TBH, the owner also worried if your baby release there...LOL

The neck float is imported from Taiwan. Tested the edge and it is soft. No worries that it will cut baby's delicate skin.

Hipopo Baby Spa (4)

Supposed, we, parents get a time-off while baby is being handled by the assistant there. Unfortunately, Baby S is fear of stranger  and is already feeling uncomfortable during the warm up exercise. We ended up cooing him together with the assistant.

Baby S did cried a little when he first entered the water. Took him quite some time to settle down. When he did and started to enjoy the bubbles, time's up! The assistant is kind enough to extend 10 minutes just for him. Hooray!

Hipopo Baby Spa (1)

The assistant will keep encouraging Baby to swim and kick so that they are "exercising". The real intention is ensure that they are tired enough to sleep later.

Yes, please kick harder! LOL

Baby S doesn't really enjoy the massage session though. He cried like 90% during the massage session. I have to keep him company and distract him with toy. He cried even louder when i was too immense with Frozen (they are playing that for other kids) and the toy knock on his face! WTF!

Hipopo Baby Spa (3)

I ended up holding him and the assistant massage his hand and feet! Look so different from what I saw in those videos. Mine was a havoc experience.

So, finally did he sleeps through the night?

Nope!

But he did sleep really soundlessly on the way home!

How We Survive An Eat-Out With a Baby

In fact, I doubt if I am qualified to share this because we are still learning to survive. WTH.

I never really understand the hectic and fuss of going out with kids. "How bad could that be? You will probably just have to give the little one a little bit more attention". Yah Right?!?!

Well, let me re-enact the disastrous day when we ambitiously went out without considering any of the crucial point!!!

We were at 1U for the first time after my confinement. Eagerly wish to be out of the house for some fresh air. Instead of enjoying the trip, I ended feeling exhausted. Thanks to those sleepless night plus taking care of Baby S in the daytime. I guess I wasn't ready to go out too as I am still recovering from delivery.

We were basically just strolling around the mall without any purpose. As usual, we only started looking for places to eat when both of us got really hungry. Well, that's perfectly normal and we see nothing wrong with it.

When we finally made up our mind of where to eat, settled down and ordered our food, Baby S is already hungry, sleepy, tired and dirty.

I guess there is no necessity to elaborate further. We didn't get to enjoy the food.

I had to run around the mall looking for nursing room with a crying baby in the stroller. Passerby is looking at my hungry baby, crying for his milk. They starred at my baby and then at me. I guess they might think that I am a bad mummy.

I got stressed up when the 'nearest' nursing room is occupied and it's located inside the toilet (unhygiene!)

Basically, I was running to the next nursing room! I didn’t even think twice to ask to use the nursing chair from a mother who was waiting for her turn to change her Baby. Desperate!

When we are finally done, I am already feeling like 'dying'. I am still recovering from my delivery and my body just doesn’t feel like how it used to be. I can't imagine I was running around with my 'loose hips'!!

Kent waited for us at the restaurant. The food is cold when we return. Since I was superb hungry, there's no time for photos or comments. Just wallop the food on the table. Before I could finish quarter of it, Baby S started crying again (wanted to sleep). Again, I was feeling embarrassed with a crying baby in a restaurant. I can totally 'feel' those stares from everywhere!

I carried him outside to cool him down.

I was so stressed up. Scary thoughts like 'throwing the baby off the railing' crossed my mind!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!  I hold on to Baby S real tight while telling myself NO NO NO!!!! That's not going to happen!!!!!! That was the time that I am still recovering from post-natal depression.

I cried that day and caught into a quarrel with Kent.

------- END -------

I felt like crying remembering those painful moments!

Let's just not fall into the same situation as we did because there's no need to when you should considered these salient points before stepping out of the house!

1. Location and the traveling time

We ensure that we only visit one or the max. two places in one trip. If the destination is too far, I will have to 'entertain' him in the car. Toys are essential. We wouldn't want to go to any places further than an hour drive. Otherwise, by the time we reach, Baby S is most likely hungry and sleepy.

2. Temperature

Of course air-conditioned or well ventilated restaurant will be the preferred choice especially if he happened to fall asleep at that time. The golden time to dine is when you Baby sleeps!!!!

3. Space

The restaurant gotta be spacious enough for the baby stroller and also for baby seat. We would most likely pass cramped restaurant as there is higher chances of occupational hazard.

4. Ambience

Restaurant with loud music is a big no-no. Baby S will cry louder than the music! WTH. I would not prefer an overly quiet restaurant either. Otherwise, if Baby S really does cry, his noise will be echoed and that is something I wanna avoid at all price. Bye bye fine dining and pubs!

5. SMELL or more like smoke-free

I loves street food but not the second hand smoke. Chances that you will be exposed to smokers are definately higher if you dine at kopitiam. The cooking smell that I hate during prenancy is going to haunt me and gonna make Baby S stinks!

6. Toys, Food & Anything to distract his attention

Provided he is distracted by it otherwise there's no point bringing all the toys.

7. Serving Time

This is essential because time is diamond when you eat out with kids! They are not going to sit there for hours while you enjoy your 5 course meals.

8. Getting HELP

I consider this as the most important piece of advise! Get HELP! You can always get help from people around you. Let them take care of Baby S so that you can have some peace of mind meal. We take turn to eat if necessary.

Learn to share the roles and responsibilities.

Learn to let go when you need to.

Sometimes daddy can do better job than mummy.

We are enjoying most of our trips now!

With Love

Wish us good luck when Baby S start on solid.

My Elephant @ USJ Taipan

Woot..! It's my Birthday!

Guess what Kent got me for my birthday present?

My Birthday Present 2016

Yes!! A bath towel which I asked him to buy! He even reused his birthday present box!  =__=

He couldn't stop laughing because I was leaning comfortably on the hidden present under the pillow and only realised it after like half an hour or so. Grrrrr.....!

I wasn't really feeling as disappointed as Kent think I was. Really! I was too sleepy to be disappointed. WTH

The next day (My Birthday), Kent called at around noon to surrender. He gave in because I didn't manage to find the REAL surprise present that he skilfully hide in my car boot. LOL!!

Surprised failed!

My Birthday Present 2016

Yes, that's my present! Nope. Not touch screen. Just a typical Monitor so that I do not need to strain my eyes looking at the small laptop screen. A present that I will use everyday! How smart of him!

Seriously, at some point I did hope silently that the present for this year birthday would be a NIGHT OFF DUTY and to be able to enjoy a good sleep throughout the night.

Anyway, lets come back to reality, shall we?

My beloved brother treated us dinner at some cool Thai restaurant, My Elephant at USJ Taipan. More like spontaneously change to this place because Sushi Mentai was overcrowded.

Steamed Seabass (Signature Dish)

Okay. Never, ever attempt to take a photo at the wrong angle thinking that you can do some magic editing later. No. It will never happen. This is how odd thing turn out when I try to be a smart-arse. LOL

This dish may not look very presentable (because i make it look weird) but this is seriously something you need want to try. Steam Sea-Bass with lots of salts! Sound like ipoh salted chicken isn't?

Bali & Spice @ Da Men

18th May is the day when KS & SW became K§W

Although we agreed to celebrate our dating anniversary instead of wedding anniversary, there's no harm going for a simple dinner (okay....its not really that s.i.m.p.l.e. with Baby S around) .

Every single outing is like a mini trip that need to be pre-planned. Goodbye to spontaneous dining and welcome to Quick Bites and Swallowing!

Anyway, Kent suggested this new place at Da:Mèn

Bali & Spice by Ole-Ole Bali

This is the first time that I have more pictures of the restaurant compared to the food. LOL

Bali & Spice @ Da men (14)
Indegeniously decorated with low light ambience. Highlights on the plants around the seatings made me lost for a second that I am at Bali. WTH
