Teluk Intan Famous Chee Cheong Fun
Well,
the only thing that I remembered during my first visit to Teluk Intan is
the steaming hot silky smooth Chee Cheong Fun (Rice Noodle)! I personally do not think that this 'thing' looks tasty but this is SERIOUSLY good stuff!
It doesn't look appealing to me at all, but... once you tried it, you just can't stop! I am not too sure what's the secret ingredients but unlike the normal CCH, this is wrapped with dried shrimp and turnip. I don't really fancy shrimp but this is just good. No stinky shrimp smells, just appetizing aroma from the CCH and pickles (green chilli). Imagine my that I have to swallow my saliva the instant I got intoxicated with the smell.
I bought 20 packets (After Kent's dad suggestion). This is no joke, in fact, Bro-Mum got so in love with CCH. =) Its good to eat either warm o cold. While I prefer it hot I found it a little bit sticky. The CCH can be kept overnight and you'll find it much silkier than fresh.
I grown up eating CCH but not any typical CCH. How CCH adapt to local appetite :-

Turnip
A modern way to traditional Chinese delicacies.
