DIY Cable Organiser
Apparently this isn't working very well for me.
- First, I am using a recycle shoe box which is too soft to hold by itself
- Second, I am cutting openings all the way from the top of the box rather than making holes and strengthen it with metal ring (or whatever you call it). Basically what I get is a 'tentacles-look-alike' box.
- Third, I tried to hide those 'tentacles' under the shoe box cover, which is again too soft to hold those wild tentacles.
- Fourth, there's just too many cables for the small tiny box to handle
- Fifth, I hated the job of having to stuff in those annoying cables every single time I pull out a cable. I gave up.
- Sixth, I did not bother to wrap the box with nice colourful paper and that doesn't make me fell happy. (WTH)
- Finally, I suck up.
There is this real good website that show you the right way to get this thing done. But sadly I got really no idea where to get those metal thingy.
Baby S is getting very interested with those cables and tends to play with it whenever I leave him on the floor, even for a minute. I have to keep my eyes on him like every nano second so that he doesn't get electrocuted.
When I saw this video by Nifty Buzzfeed, I thought this may be right time to fix things up.
I found this really hard and steady tube at workplace which was treated as rubbish. I picked it up as if I found a treasure. This is perfectly what I am looking for and its F.R.E.E!!! Where am I supposed to get a 'shipping tube'?!

My task is considered done when I tape the edges of the tube. Kent is the real master who cut, spray painted and fixed it under the table.
Now, let me reclaim my dignity.
