How to make rose

Hey! First post on crafting! LOL....

Seriously, the craft idea just pop out and I got a bit out of control..buying all the craft supplies that I may not use at all. Oh well, at least I am a happy girl =)

I had so much in my head that I don't even know where to start. Flowers perhaps since I love flowers and I can always turn them into some beautiful hair accessories.

Google is my school and this is my teacher. This is so far the best tutorial I could find.

I follow closely to all the tips and details and walla....here's my masterpiece!

No bad eh? I am super happy with them ^_____^

I keep doing this till one fine evening I burnt my leg with the dripping glue from the glue gun. O.U.C.H!! It took me quite some time to recover from the burn. Its just s very small drip..say 4mm diameter but it hurt so badly that now i have to carry that mark forever (maybe?)...So, please be extremely careful when handling the glue gun.

Nihonkai @ Old Klang Road

If you are looking for some cheap and nice Japanese cuisine around KL, this is the place that you should be looking for.

Nihonkai at Jalan Klang Lama, a place that I'll never discover without my buddy Sufen and Slyvia. It's kinda difficult to locate cos its facing the housing area. I had tagged the location on this post, hopefully it is correct =___=!. My sense of direction is absolutely perfect when Kent is around. I'll normally show him the wrong direction (almost everytime) and he will know that he should go the opposite. Wish you luck though

Sashimi!! Its considerably fresh and there's no way to ask for more for the price you are paying.

Alright, this is something V.E.R.Y different from the ordinary sushi. I got totally no idea what those transparent skins are made from but its pretty interesting.

Set Lunch of The Day.
Forget about the price but its way below market rate if you ask. Considering the location, environment and most importantly the quality of food, you'll be surprised that this might be the best deal in town!

MyBurgerlab @ SS2

I just don't get it. Why are people flocking this place like flies. It's just some Black Burger!! Chillak~

And why are we here? Social pressure..LOL..No way man!

We were on our way back from Genting Highland, felt hungry at that particular point of time and place. So, we decided to give it a chance. We were like half an hour away from their business hour (5pm-11pm) and there are already people queuing under the hot sun! @#$%^

It was a superb hot day that you may almost melt without a shade and umbrella. Kent was like so freaked out (Hot + Sweaty + HUNGRY).

This is how insanely sane people who came for the Burger!

This place finally open sharp at 5pm and the Q was already like 4 shops away! I manage to sneaked in for the air-cond, leaving Kent outside (still freaking out). LOL

Kent Q'ing impatiently for his order. He looks like he's gonna kill anyone who even think to cut the Q. Bty, I love that Notes Idea!

Cool huh? Charcoal Bun Burger!

 photo 20130428_172353_20130505224210285_zpsb1123e13.jpg

The bun is very soft, the patty is juicy. Overall, its still not bad but the long Q under the sun really spoil our appetite! I mean, I rather spend that $ in a proper restaurant than paying for a burger.

Fries. Alright, this was quite disappointing. I was expecting something like Carls Junior kind of fries. ='(

Kokopelli Travellers Bistro @ Section 14

Its my Birthday, Its my Birthday (Singing). Yes and No but who cares as long as there's new place to explore.

Ribbon (my cousin or almost my sister) found this place from dunno where. And know what? This place is listed in Trip Advisor. Though ranked 150 but still a place worth giving a try.

IMG-20130501-WA0002_20130513161417612_zps7a4f65f7

This bistro is converter from a bungalow lot. Its kinda difficult to spot on if you ask cos it looks just like any other ordinary bungalow lot. Who the heck will realise that there's a Bistro in such a cosy house? Not for me though, I think its just some cool lot!

What we had :

  • Seriously, I dont remember what it is but its definitely chicken
  • Pasta Carbonara. Creamy just the way it meant to be.
  • Pan Fried Salmon
  • Roast Chic that taste a bit out of ordinary. Seriously, there's something about it but its just not my style
  • Pizza - Frutti Di Mare. Since I dont take shrimp, this is a pass for me.
  • Seafood Linguini Aglio Olio.

Seremban & Melaka Food Hunting Trip!

Hi! I hope everything is fine there =)

Its been such a long time since the last post ='( I kept telling myself that I have to work on it 'tonight' and when 'tonight' comes, I psycho-ed myself ..."lets do it tomorrow". The cycle goes on and on and on until TONIGHT, its so gonna be tonight!!

A little update on myself : I finally moved on from my first job after 5.5 years!!

I'm spending a lot of my emotion/energy or whatever-u-call-it to adapt to the new working environment. Everything is new; office, colleagues, job scope, working style, bla bla bla. Rest assured that things are getting very excited around my work sphere. And because of this major transition in my career, there will be no VACATION this year round!

Why??? Cos I just gave up my Bonus and I need to earn my annual leave in the new company! No Money + No Time!! Sob Sob...

This is really demotivating. I felt 'empty'. Like I am a fresh grad, starting from scrap again.

BUT Wait..who says you need to spend a fortune and apply leave for Vacation? There's something call weekend trip! One thing good about living in Malaysia is that we get to travel to other states, enjoy the weekend to the fullest with just few hundred bucks.  =D

Melaka it is then! One of the hottest and nearest tourist spot with a touch of history scent. We could just act like a tourist, walking on foot around the town or even stroll along the river in the evening ~relaxing. The whole research and planning is way too easy compared to Europe trip planning. Hotel booked, luggage packed (in 10mins), itinerary prepared, GPS set in just few hours! Talking about itinerary, you gotta believe me that 90% of the activities are food hunting! So again, there will be lots of food posting this round.

Day 1 (Saturday)

7.00am : Start journey to Seremban for breakfast (Excited)

8.00am : Reach Seremban 'Pasar Besar' (Market).

Pasar Besar Seremban,
GPS Coordinates: N2 43.840 E101 56.200

The first thing that came to our mind when we reach is that 'it feels like Super Kinta in Ipoh'. The wet market is on the ground floor while the food court is on the first floor. We were so focused that we headed straight to the nearest staircase and walk to the food court as if we know the way.

What to eat here? There are plenty of hawker stalls offering a vast variety of local delights. It feels very homely to have breakfast here. All the patrons are locals. Unlike in city areas, local stalls are owned by locals but operated by foreigners. (=_=)!

Most of the customers are also locals while one or two are tourists like us. You can tell from the noob look (me) snapping photos once food is served.

This is what we had for breakfast :-
Beef Noodles
Stall No. 748

Tow Kee Hakka Mee
Stall No. 810

collage4_zps614e1bd0

Noticed some other types of noodles lost in between? ~LOL~

I think the Hakka Mee only deserved a 4/10 cos the after taste is sooooo....weird. My tongue feels numb..WTH!

9.30 : Continue journey to Klebang, Melaka.

This is our very first time we traveling locally together using GPS. Full trust on that little machine and guess what? It leads us to some roads that we never thought it ever existed. We were getting really anxious when we passed through villages, tiny roads between bungalow lots in nowhere, places that we never heard before.
11.00 : We finally made it to our first stop, Klebang. Miraculously, we are an hour ahead of schedule. Guess the GPS was set to show us the shortest route.

This is another famous place in Melaka that I only found out lately.

IMG_3494_zpsa8c129a4

20130323_112313_zpsf2ab06e0

This is something that you wouldn't want to miss on the way to Melaka. It's cooling, it's refreshing, it's everything you will ask for on a hot sunny day! Within those finely blended ice you may find tiny bits of coconut flesh. Hell yeh, Coconut Shake made from fresh coconut! The Vanilla ice-cream does not only added a creamy texture to the blend but it intensify the overall taste!

Once you had settle yourself down, the waiter will come with their Signature Coconut Shake. All you have to do is to tell them how many cups you want! So basically the waiting time for a cup of Coconut Shake is less than 2 mins! Awesome!

If you are on tight schedule but wouldn't want to miss this, you may consider buying from their road side stall. You can tell from the number of cars queuing by the road side.

12.30 : We need to quickly rush to Bukit Rambai before the Cendol is sold out! Oh yes, Aunty Koh only operate during weekends from 12pm onwards until the Santan (Coconut Milk) runs out. Running business with style and I love that!

IMG_3503_zps8055b6f5

Aunty Koh's cendol is easier to trace compared to Klebang Coconut Shake. The stall is built within the boundary of a single storey bungalow lot. Judging from the crowd that are willing to travel and queue so long for a bowl of Cendol, she must be quite famous.

1365929088664_zps3601b9c1

Snapping pics while queuing for our Cendol. Its freaking hot especially under zinc roof!

We were a bit worried that the Santan will run out before our turn. =_=! Customer that are dining there keep asking for additional bowl of Cendol. Then people who are queuing ahead of us are asking for 5-10 bowls! Worst still, we saw Aunty Koh having some hard time scooping out Santan from the big pot.

Our turn finally comes after waiting anxiously for 20 mins or so. Guess what happened next..

We (Kent) : 2 Cendol please (Both looking very nervous)
Aunty Koh : Oh, that's the last one.
We : Harr? (Worried face)
Aunty Koh : No worries, I'll get another pot from inside (Smile smile)
We : (Laugh) Phew.....!

Aunty Koh do have her way to handle custee like us.

pixlr_20180515134234414

That's Aunty Koh!

What so special about the Cendol here? Well, I personally do not think that it looks extra-ordinary different from the other. They have both basic red beans and green jelly. What really stands out is the Santan. If you love Santan, then this is the place you must drop by. The Santan is Superb Thick and Creamy!

Well, to be franked, both of us are more of Gula Melaka lovers. So, we still prefer the ordinary Cendol.

3.00 : Visit Baba Nyonya Museum

I always wanted to visit this Museum, I don't know why. I mean how many people actually wanted to visit museum? I'd only been to Musuem twice. Once during an educational trip and another during

But, this is just not any ordinary Museum, its a real life Museum converted from a Baba and Nyonya House. You will be amazed by architecture if not the mix of culture between the Chinese and the locals.

There are a lot of interesting facts that is not taught in history class. For instant, do you know that in the past, tax is calculated based on the width of house. In order to avoid hefty taxes, houses are built with minimal width but with maximum length.

The entrance fee is just RM12/pax and that comes with a tour guide. What else can you ask for?

Remark : Cameras and video cameras are prohibited in the museum.
4.30 : Lunch at Jonker Street.
We were too hungry by the time we'd done with the museum visit that we decided to lunch at Jonker Street.
You may find few restaurants along Jonker Street selling Chicken Rice Balls. The original restaurant is the one right beside Hard Rock Cafe. But since its close, the weather is killing hot and we are darn hungry, we drop by in one that is air-conditioned to fill in our tummy.

collage2_zps8067b6d4

Although Chicken Rice Ball is the signature dish in Melaka, I still prefer the normal Rice. I felt much more satisfied chewing on each individual grains (Carb lover ma). I think the Steamed Chicken and BBQ roasted pork is just sub-standard. The pork is so dried.

Moving on after filling in our tummy (not really enjoying), we hunt for finger foods in Jonker Street. And look what we found...

SMELLY TOFU!!

I put this one rank higher than Durian! I dare you to try one! >=)

Satay Babi (BBQ Pork). Another famous food in Melaka.

I had never tried satay babi when they started in Jonker Street. It's still not too late though, cos they are still operating and the plus point, they have their own premise now!

Remember to set your GPS before you depart. This place is not one that you can reach by luck. Again, you will be amazed that crowds will find its way to good food!

We are getting a bit crazy over satay babi because the conventional satay usually used chicken meat. Its RARE and its not something that you can find just anywhere. Leave the meat alone, their dipping is extra-ordinary. Instead of peanuts, the dipping/sauce is made from pineapples making it spicy and sour. Although its a bit oily and the taste is not as strong as conventional peanut dipping, I can still remember the taste perfectly in my mouth. If only they could spend a little longer BBQ'ing the satay, that would be perfect!

Basically, they will served you with lots of satay sticks whether you order or not. You may eat as much as you wish and they will keep replenishing it. No worries, there's no obligation to finish what is served. If you want something different like intestines, you will have to make special request.

2.00 : Tea Break

I know this is insane but that's what we did. Dessert right after 30 sticks of satay! OMG

Seriously, how can we skip this!!! Mille Crepe! Gosh..!!
